Core capabilities
This is a realistic skills profile, not a wall of keywords. Each capability connects to a practical support or cloud-learning activity.
IT support
Level 1 troubleshooting across common hardware, software, account and access issues.
Incident triage · User assistance · Access support · Documentation
Cloud foundations
Hands-on learning across AWS compute, storage, networking, monitoring and security foundations.
EC2 · S3 / EBS / EFS · VPC concepts · CloudWatch
Networking
Core knowledge used to diagnose connectivity and understand how services communicate.
TCP/IP concepts · DNS basics · Security groups · Troubleshooting
Security mindset
Careful handling of access, least privilege thinking and clean public-information boundaries.
Access awareness · Safe escalation · Privacy-first publishing · Responsible support
Customer operations
Clear communication, composure and ownership in live, fast-moving customer environments.
Communication · Prioritisation · Teamwork · Service mindset
Continuous learning
A habit of testing ideas, documenting what works and improving one practical step at a time.
Lab practice · Reflection · Research · Iteration
Current working level
These labels communicate present confidence without pretending that skills can be measured perfectly. “Building” means active lab practice; “Working” means experience using the skill in practical settings.
Support method
I begin with impact and symptoms, establish what changed, test the safest likely causes and keep the user informed. I document the result in language another person can actually follow.
Important: speed matters, but not at the cost of unsafe changes, unclear ownership or hiding uncertainty.
Currently learning
My current hands-on focus includes AWS EC2, storage choices across EBS, EFS and S3, VPC connectivity, security groups, monitoring with CloudWatch and the architecture decisions connecting these services.
